Stockton, California’s MBNel has released his latest music video “Euro Step,” the second single to his forthcoming project Born To Win, via Bay Area gatekeeper EMPIRE, due out November 15. The new visual was premiered on HYPEBEAST, and finds Nel in a mansion surrounded by close friends who’ve got his back no matter what. Not only does Nel flex his lyrical dexterity on the track, but also his come-up, while simultaneously g-checking all posers and competition. Another theme showcased in the video via his rhymes is the message of keeping your circle tight and staying “ten-toes-down” with the “real ones.”
“Euro Step” follows MBNel’s first-look Born To Win single “Dear Jhené,” an ode to his unborn daughter, released on October 18. Currently it holds nearly 230K views on YouTube and nearly 160K streams on Spotify. In addition to any upcoming joint project with Long Beach’s $tupid Young, Nel’s upcoming 15-track album Born To Win, is set to feature Bay Area rappers Mozzy and Lil Bean, and Florida artists Teejay3k and Lil Poppa. Prior to his impending release, where Nel intends to expand his sound, the rapper garnered major success with his biggest hit “In My City” (over 5.1M views and 1.4M streams) and his $tupid Young collaborative effort “On Me” (over 4.8M views and 1M streams).

Arriving with the ability to both rap and sing on a track, MBNel is here to change the narrative on stereotypes and be a voice for those without. Raised as a first generation Filipino to a father who managed Rock cover bands, MBNel enters the music industry with a diverse musical background that began early-on.Coupled with the sounds of Hip-Hop and R&B played on terrestrial radio in the Bay, MBNel also grew up keeping a keen ear out for Chicago rappers like Lil Herb (G Herbo), Lil Bibby and Lil Durk, as well as favorites like Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle and Mozzy. Possessing a similar reality of growing up around gang culture and gravitating towards the streets, MBNel took an interest in how each artist used rap to share their tales. Following suit, he grabbed a pen and a pad to escape. In 2015, around his junior and senior years in high school, MBNel began writing, recording raps, and putting together music videos of himself with friends. In April 2017, he invested into his first big video for his breakout hit “Love My Gang,” which instantly saw 20,000 views within its first week, gaining another 20K the following, and that again after. Currently, it holds over 2 million views on YouTube. A month later, he dropped another hit “Pose’ To,” which followed the same success in grabbing 20K its first week, and again the following weeks. Currently, it holds over 1.4 million views on YouTube.Flooded with inquiries for shows and interviews after the mountainous success, MBNel began moving about Stockton and neighboring Bay Area cities, collaborating and performing across the region. In July, the rapper dropped his latest EP Countin’ Bands, where he flexes his lyrical prowess on eight solo tracks. A month later, MBNel released a single “Dear Jhené,” a track dedicated to his unborn daughter and to be featured on his November 15 project Born To Win debuts via EMPIRE.On his upcoming effort, Born To Win, MBNel plans to expand his sound, displaying his growth as an artist.
